  5.         
  6.              Files on this disk. This diskette may contain the following 
  7.         files:
  8.              1. ABRL.COM -- The AutoBraille memory resident program.
  9.              2. ABC.EXE -- The AutoBraille Commander.
  10.              3. ABRL.DOC -- The AutoBraille manual.
  11.              4. TBRL.EXE -- The TurboBraille program.
  12.              5. TBRL.HLP -- The TurboBraille on-line help file.
  13.              6. TBRL.XLT -- The TurboBraille translation rules.
  14.              7. TBRL.DOC -- The TurboBraille manual.
  15.              8. TBRL30.BIF -- Sample edited BIF file of the manual.
  16.              9. READ.ME -- This file.
  17.         
  18.              Installation. If the AutoBraille program or the Turbo 
  19.         Braille program are "permanent" copies (i.e., not merely demos) 
  20.         they will ask the user for an identifying name when they are 
  21.         first run. For this reason, the files ABRL.COM and/or TBRL.EXE 
  22.         must be located in your current directory when first run. This 
  23.         will not be necessary for demo copies, or for subsequent runs of 
  24.         permanent copies.
  25.         
  26.              The files ABC.EXE, TBRL.EXE, TBRL.HLP, and TBRL.XLT should 
  27.         all be copied to a directory that is on your DOS command path. 
  28.         The file ABRL.COM need not be on the command path, since it is 
  29.         run only once and remains resident thereafter, until you restart 
  30.         your computer.

  32.              To start the AutoBraille program, place two lines in your 
  33.         AUTOEXEC.BAT file that read:
  34.                                  <pathname>ABRL
  35.                                    ABC RESTORE
  36.              Be sure to supply the correct pathname if ABRL.COM is not in 
  37.         a directory on the DOS command path. The program may then be 
  38.         activated whenever it is needed by pressing a "hot key" as 
  39.         described in the documentation.
  40.         
  41.              To start the Turbo Braille program, log onto the device and 
  42.         directory containing the files you wish to process and type 
  43.         "TBRL" at the prompt.  You may include the "/H" switch to go 
  44.         directly into the "help file"; if you type only "TBRL" you will 
  45.         enter interactive mode and will be reminded how to exit and how 
  46.         to get help. If your copy of Turbo Braille is a demonstration 
  47.         copy, you will be so advised during the sign-on sequence.  The 
  48.         only limitation is that only one page of braille will be produced 
  49.         at a time.  You may use all the other features without 
  50.         limitations, including the conversion of source documents to 
  51.         "BIF" files.  The one page limitation allows you to examine the 
  52.         translation and formatting of typical or challenging problems and 
  53.         allows you to evaluate program  performance.  We hope you like 
  54.         Turbo Braille.

  67.              October 25, 1992: Turbo Braille Version 3.1 released. 
  68.         Printer definition menu expanded to include an option for "single 
  69.         sided" or "interpoint" printers. Defining a printer as interpoint 
  70.         causes Turbo Braille to output an even number of pages to the 
  71.         printer or to a file.
  72.         
  73.              October 18, 1992: TurboBraille version 3.0.03 released. 
  74.         Restored the option to run continuously or pause between pages in 
  75.         printer definitions. Added a new dot command, .EP "Extra Page," 
  76.         to strengthen support for interpoint printers.
  77.         
  78.              October 11, 1992: TurboBraille version 3.0.02 released. 
  79.         Fixed a nasty little problem. When a series of files was 
  80.         processed, trailing blanks at the end of the first file were 
  81.         inserted in front of the first line of the second file, causing 
  82.         an initial dot command to be treated as text if the second file 
  83.         was a BIF file.

  85.              September 7, 1992: Turbo Braille 3.0.01 released. Fixed bug 
  86.         in bottom line page numbers with the .BL command; improved 
  87.         conversion between WS dot commands and Turbo Braille comments, 
  88.         and between WS comments and Turbo Braille dot commands; improved 
  89.         discrimination between WP4 files and TEXT files; and improved 
  90.         handling of text files with very long lines and upper ASCII 
  91.         ornamentation characters.

  93.              August 20, 1992: Auto Braille version 1.3 released. Changed 
  94.         multiplex interrupt number to avoid conflict with Borland 
  95.         Integrated Development Environment and other packages.
  96.         
  97.              August 1, 1992: Turbo Braille 3.0 and AutoBraille 1.2 first 
  98.         released. Installation logic of former KINSTALL program 
  99.         incorporated into each program.
